RESCUE COMPETENCY AUDIT

Rescue training does not guarantee competency.  All our rescue courses require follow up to ensure that the participant engages in practices or simulations to improve competency.  Compentency audits are usually performed weeks or months after the initial training to ensure that the company is following recommendations. The contractor observes trained rescuers in action and identifes key areas where equipment, technique or safety can be improved.  Timed objective competency tests can be developed to measure the rescuer's ability to respond without panic in an emergency.
