FP 04 Construction

Protection from falls is most difficult when the work environment changes daily. Basic fall arrest systems become less practical and the worker is forced to be more creative. The student on this course learns acceptable industry standards for working on a construction site. The course focuses on use of passive fall protection methods such as temporary handrails, warning lines and restraint. It also covers standards for using scaffolds, ladders and man lifts. When it becomes necessary to use fall arrest systems, they learn how to incorporate vertical and horizontal lifelines.
